We’re an open platform

Because we’re an open platform, when you write a review, the review and your Reviews Caribbean profile will be visible to anyone who visits our platform. By clicking on your profile, such visitors can see your country location and all the reviews you’ve written, including the locations and products you’ve reviewed, and your product photos or videos. Similarly, if you’re a business user and reply to a review about your company, this will also be visible on our platform. So please remember that depending on the information you add to your Reviews Caribbean profile and the username you choose, you may or may not be anonymous.

We advise against sharing sensitive personal documents or data, such as information related to ethnicity, religion, or health, with Reviews Caribbean.

How we collect personal data

Similarly, when a business requests us to send you a review invitation, they supply us with your name, email address, and a reference number like an order ID. Additionally, we automatically generate or collect information from your device as you use our services. This may include your IP address, location, device, and browser details, as well as your interaction history and profiling data.

Who is the controller of your personal data?

If you’ve received invitations to write reviews on Reviews Caribbean from businesses using our services, or from us on their behalf, those businesses are the data controllers responsible for those invitations and any associated personal data. For questions or to exercise your rights regarding such invitations, please contact the relevant businesses directly, as we cannot assist with these matters. For all other personal data associated with our platform, such as information you provide when creating an account, leaving a review, or submitting a reply, Pineapple Connect LLC is the data controller.

We share your reviews so others can see your experience with businesses. When you write a review, users can see your username, country, all your reviews, and any connected information. If you use your real name, it may reveal your identity. Connect with care, as social networks might reveal your identity too.

When creating a business account, we disclose your company’s details. Exercise care in deciding which information to share, as replies to reviews are also visible to other users.

Your personal data shared with other services:

Reviews Caribbean aims to increase review visibility. We allow other services to show reviews, including:

• Search engines like Google and Bing
• Businesses you reviewed
• Consumer and business portals
• Application partners
• Social networks

If you review via an invitation, the business can match your review with their invitation. We don't share documentation used to verify your experience but may share reference numbers with businesses unless you request otherwise.

Your personal data shared with data processors:

We share data with third parties providing technical and operational support. These data processors act per our instructions, ensuring data protection. Some processors may be in countries with different data protection standards, but we ensure necessary safeguards are in place.

How long do we store your personal data?

Data received from companies sending review invitations on their behalf is kept for three years.
